My latest handload is now giving me results in the ballpark to the .308 FGMM 168s I've been using as a benchmark. Not quite there yet, but closer than anything before it. I developed this load in a .2 grain increment ladder test first at 100 yds then out at 200 yds, trying to match the drop thus indicating the same velocity as the FGMM. I ended up with 40.2 gr of RL15, 2.800 OAL. I sorted the bullets by bearing surface and sorted the cases by weight.
Decent results - so I feel I'm getting close. .42" 5-shot group at 100 yds, then 1.325" and 1.44" groups at 200 yards.
