Marlin 917 Thoughts?

Re: Marling 917 Thoughts?

dude, buy it! I bought one used at Cabela's. Went to the range the day after, the thing was/is an absolute drill! This one was topped off with a Leupy Century Limited Edition 3-9x40 scope. It was so damn fun to shoot, I stopped at another big box retailer on the way home from the range and bought a second one! I topped that one off with a Vortex Diamondback 4-12x40. You'd be missing out if you did not purchase it! Also, what kind of stock does it have? The two I bought have the varmint/thumbhole stock...talk about comfortable! Anyhow, the triggers are a little rough from the factory (really not that bad, I'm just a picky SOB), but are easily smoothed out with mechanical pencil springs! You can buy a drop-in trigger if you're not into messing with your firearms. Let me know how you like it!

is it scoped? Anything else on it...bipod, rings, bases, etc? Just the rifle, I would offer 150.00. The other goods can obviously increase the value, but not necessarily. Mind you, you can purchase one brand new for not much more. Here is the used one I bought at Cabelas...

the stainless steel and thumbhole add more to this one's value. Give it a shot. Wave those bills at him! FOr the rifle alone, I would not go over 225.00

I tried the pen spring. It was an improvement. Just put in a rifle basix trigger, man what a difference!
