Another overloaded truck, dry weights 10,000 with chassis...so same as the last one approximately 4,000 pounds on the back. Not to mention two layers deep of storage boxes feet behind the axle probably packed full of heavy shit.

Also a frame should not snap in half from being overloaded by a couple thousand pounds. The weight capacity is more based around suspension, axles, and brakes. Not that it snaps your car in half is you overload it.

But if you have a large amount of weight hanging feet behind the axle, and already have a larger amount of weight than normal on that end, I’m going out on a limb and saying that’s a huge contributing factor.
 
I’m a dumbass that doesn’t know better. I’m used to gas guns and the mount came with the glass. Looking at different rings and a two stage trigger. Suggestions appreciated. Any hoo back to the T&A.
Don’t buy into that bs that your rings have to be the lowest possible to have clearance above your barrel. That’s old school and largely based on internet myths. First find out where your cheek rests naturally on the stock and see if you get a solid picture when you address the rifle without shuffling your head around.

I know a couple guys that have their scopes that high with zero issues and they are good shooters. If you have glasses, a higher scope height is desirable in order to get a good sight picture.

Did that once doing around 150. Go to the closest dealer traded my R1 in on a quad and called for a ride home. Hands didn't stop shaking for a while.

I polish with a split lap machine. Think electric motor standing on end with the shaft up. Disc with slots cut in it has polishing media on the bottom is attached to shaft. You can see the surface being polished through the slots and watch the progress. Takes a little practice.

For a 20yo to get one the fastest bikes on the road was only $10k. To get a car that would run 180mph would have been out of the question. I was pretty young, dumb and poor. Hence the bike versus car.

Quite a few years later I convinced myself that I was more mature and could handle the temptation of not doing stupid stuff. So I bought a Ducati 848, the small engine "reasonable" model. It would only do around 160mph. Sold it a couple years later after scaring myself again. Now I stick to dirt.
 
For less than $25,000 you can go out and buy a sport bike that performs up to probably 80% of what you see on the track whereas if you wanted that in a car you would probably have to spend six figures. Used you can get it for under $20k. The point being that performance is easily accessible and to young men that suffer from testosterone poisoning combined with chaotic stupidity, mixed with a 150+ hp, 450 lb motorcycle it can be lethal.

Back in the 80s a kid on one of my crews was separating. Had been relieved of duty and processing out. He had a Suzuki crotch rocket and constantly felt the need for speed. He was flying down US 98 and zipped around an old lady doing the speed limit and struck a dump truck in the rear axle. Had just enough time to get on the brakes before impact. Holding on so hard his left arm was detached at the shoulder, helmet was split open and the bike exploded. The old lady he was passing pulled him away from the fire...not that it mattered. Speed estimated at well over 100.

A friend escorted his body home. Really a sad story. He was one of two children. His brother had died from leukemia as a child. Wish I could say this was the only person I knew that died on a bike.
