He was probably chasing that darned thing for a minute and tracked it into the bathroom. Spiders elicit an instant, barely controllable, and almost primal level fight-or-flight response in most people. It is completely evolutionary, and does not need to be "learned" by experience. Children as young as one were documented to have associated pictures of spiders with danger and discomfort.
ETA: Holy shit just noticed there were two of these buggers. Dude was probably trying to film the one behind the seat and got surprised by the second one...

I have to disagree. Odessa is way worse than Austin. Too many stupid people with oil money think they are better than they are. I always carried in West Texas, The place was just as bad as Mexico.

Midland/ Odessa is the asshole of Texas. At least when the shooting starts we can stack liberals up like cord wood. Odessa will still be covered in trash and smell like sulphur.
