My 300 yd 3/4in Group... Lets see groups past 100 yards.

600y
9 of a 10 shot group (the 10th on the left put it at 1.5 MOA)
R700 AAC-SD
Timney trigger
Re-crown factory barrel
5-20 SWFA SS
.308 Match Lake City Military NATO M118 175 Grain

Not as nice as a some of these 600y groups, but I was happy.

Nice groupings everyone! I'd almost be ashamed to post too many of my groups lately. I'll have to see if I can find my old pics of the 1000 yard steel.

You should be happy with that memphismtnr! 10 shots is a lot. I've also started reconsidering what 'nice' is for a target. with all the variables at 600+yards, I think its less about group size (unless you were just trying to shoot a small group anywhere on paper) and is more about each individual shot's distance from aim point. were your 9 shots a .8ish moa group? sure. but if each shot is only .5moa from center, and that's not bad at all.

There is some great shooting on this topic. My best at 400 yards. Savage 10BA w/ 168g Black Hills. Just over 2" at 400 yards, just over .5 MOA.

Managed this one today with my tikka t3 in .223 at 300yds dead.
Point of aim was center my data was out for some reason so hit high but still good group, shame it was the last 3 rounds on the mag.

3 shot 400 yard group. Would have liked a 5 shot group but I was saving some ammo for 1000 yards.

Not much compared to most of you guys. If I would've stopped at 3 shots, the group would be closer to 1". Regardless, I'm happy with my 16" AR.

I really need to take pics when I go out next time. My best group was something like 2" at 300, but I'm just starting out.

443 yards
20" 260 Rem/123gr Amax @ 2875
Shot off bipod/rear bag

4" including the cold bore. So far the CB shot has proven consistent, .1Mil high and .1mil left of POA. I'll start to trust it and correct for it after a few more outings.

I'd imagine this will be my last post on this thread, I doubt I'll ever shoot a group this small. The first target was the 1st group of last week saturday, then the backup group 10 mins after, was kinda in a hurry to get to my nieces wedding, but that doesnt mean I shot the groups fast, haha. This is from my 6 Creedmoor.

Top round was a sighter. Adjusted off of that for the five round group below. This is my BEST group at 300, not my average :D I would say I average .65-.75MOA. Maybe a bit higher.

Shot with Stock Remington 700 20" tactical .223 with 1:9 twist in a B&C Light Medalist using Black Hills 69gr MKBT factory ammo. Oh, and Nikon M223 BDC 600. Now to get on a longer range...

200 Meters with new rifle 50 rounds down the tube 308 Surgeon Scalpel, believe the group would have been better but the paper target was soaked and sort of blew up when it hit.

Called the flier, .1 gr more than last target. 1.75" at 425 yards

Two groups with my Savage Model 10 Predator Hunter in .243. Both at 600 yards testing two loads with the 105gr. A-Max. First over Varget. Second over IMR 4831. Scope is a Bushnell 4200 Elite 3-12x44 FFP Mildot.

And, some old school.....

Shot this at 300 yards the other day with bipod and rear bag. 4 shots with 155 Berger Hybrids. Got 73 loaded up for a match this weekend.

Quite impressive! From a 308 I'd Imagine. I'd like to see a pic of your rifle.
Savage 12 action
Obermeyer Barrel
Mcmillan A3
Rifle Basix target trigger

Shot the target in this pic during a match with 155 Sierra's, I could only achieve .5moa with them during testing. Had several fliers due to rear bag issues. Got the bag issues worked out hopefully. I was a little impressed when I got to the target .015 and 0.010 off lands shot very small groups with the hybrids.

Muled all my gear up the Mountain in the blazing sun, sweated my posterior off. 10min after I get set up, this crud rolls in.

2 hours not so patiently waited.....damaged my plate.(close range 5.56)
Finally did get 12+ rounds off while fighting some strange winds. The plate is not AR 500. 2 things made this great day. 1:Cold bore shot was dead cener 3" high. Second time I've ever shot @ 545m and the man upstairs provided this:

10 shots , 200 yards, .223 Ackley Improved, 75gr AMAX seated @ 2.450" behind 25.6gr of RL15 and Federal 205 primers, Lapua Match brass...

Only three shots, i know, but i don't like getting my barrel too hot and it was the last three rounds of the 10 rounds i had of this load (338lm). I shot a rams head at our range at 545 yards after figuring dope on this new load. Best i can tell this is about a 1.1" group. What's that, like .19 MOA? Not typical for me, and conditions were perfect (overcast and zero wind), but I'll take it!
