Cheaper and easier than reloading, I have been shooting an AR22 for positional practice. MGP Customs built me a quality upper, and I supplied the Seekins lower. 500 rounds for $25-$30 makes a trip to the range most affordable. Home Page. There is no barrel extension in the upper, it is not a conversion. The barrel was custom machined to fit a standard upper.

If the government is not buying your ammo, this is a great way to get in some quality practice. I usually shoot 300 or more rounds in a session. For California shooters, you do not need a "bullet button" with rimfire, but you are still stuck with 10 round mags.
