This is the version supplied with the B&C m-40 style stock. Ceracoated CM steel. Fluted 24" BARREL 1/9.
-Real slick lookin rifle-
100 yds loading at the bench I used Sierria 69grn and 52hrn HPBT Match. H322 powder.
3 round groups ranged 1.4 to .45 as I varied the powder charge.
Overall nothing to get excited about especially
considering My 6PPC bench rig did a low.2 (5) shot group
Any how I fired about 40 rounds and when I went home to clean her
I found the barrel very non uniform when pushing the patches through.
(tight- loose tight- loose ect. pushing the patches through the bore) even tried JB bore paste
My example of the 5R .308 (stainless) with the HSP stock has a nice uniform bore.
Im wondering if this condition is typical with the hammer forged CM barrels ?
Just something I noticed and thought ide put it out there.
