I found this bench vise at Lowe's,Pretty cheap for what it started out being.Did some modifying to make it clamp better and to protect the gun stocks. They even have the polyurethane inserts for around $6.00.Its 6 in and has mag inserts,I was going to make some steel jaws but figured the alum would be easier to work with and just incase someing bumped it would not mar it as bad as steel. I took out the stock steel jaw inserts, they were about 1x2 3/4 and made up some plate aluminum and polished them :)and screwed them to the jaws.Glued some rubber to protect the guns and stuff,It pivots also and holds it position pretty good, the suction cup is also pretty strong, surpised me.Yea Im sure it will go bad after a few years, just keep oil off it.

Yea its kinda cheap made,29 bucks, but for just holding guns and lite work, cleaning, mounting scopes etc. its been working fine for me.Lot cheaper that the others ive seen out there.

just wanted to pass it along, hopefully it will help ya.

no its a Vacuum Base Vise, the lever pulls it down, even with it released you still got to grab the edge of the rubber to get it to release from the table,One thing the table/bench has to be smooth enought to get a vacuum.
