I finally got around to taking some pics of my 700. The specs are in my sig but it is a basic rifle compared to most here. I had wanted a big rifle for awhile and almost got a MLR in .338LM. Knowing I didn't have the range to stretch it out, I went for a much more practical .308. It can serve as a LR shooter and a back up hunting rifle to my .270WSM.

I traded a very nice 7.5" AR upper for this 700(rifle only, no base/rings/scope) on another gun site and was kind of "iffy" on how it would turn out. Turns out I really did good for a first tactical rifle.

Here is my first time out using FGMMM 168s. Shots 1-5 were getting a feel of how it shot and sighting in. This target has shots 6-10, 125yds off the bipod using my left hand to steady the butt. Not to shabby I think.

Here is my range, right beside the house. It was taken about 30 yds away. I can get a 200yd shot but will be almost on the hardball. We shoot 100-150yds mostly. I plan to bring in some more dirt and make it 3 times as wide to the right so we can do some different pistol drills. thanks ya'll!

Thanks! I'd love to have a GAP or Surgeon rifle but that massive price tag doesn't even include glass.

I'm in a tiny town called Laurinburg. I have a good friend who just sold around 80 acres in Monroe, way out in the country. Beautiful place, I called him a dumbass...

The 700 PSS is a great shooter. Mine will shot 0.5" to 0.7" 5 shoot groups at 100 yards. Not TRG or AIAW accuracy but few of us can shoot as well as those guns do.

Well I must be a lucky one because mine can shoot .5" at 200 yards. No mods other than the bolt knob and Jewell trigger. (bedded of course) I guess you get what you pay for! I am happy with my gun.

Another reason keeping me from throwing the big dollars down. This 700PSS can shoot better than me for now.

Mine might could with some hand loads and more practice. I'm very pleased as it sits using FGMM.
