Need help with American Airlines breaking my firearms while in transport.

I recently returned home from my grandfathers funeral. While in transit, American airlines crushed in my case and broke the stock on his Ljutic mono gun ($4,000+ walnut stock). They define the damage as normal wear and tear and are not covering it. I will not roll over and take this, any ideas on going after them>?

Aluminum (aluma-max) airline approved case... Was inspected by an American airlines agent and accepted....

I keep an attorney on retainer, surely you have some legal counsel you could contact for recourse of issue.
At the end of the day it may be a no win situation on recovering property loss values.
But sometimes that’s not important, principles, proving wrong to make a point at a loss is worth it to me, matter dependent.

Well with pictures of the case, one would think it's an obvious answer. To that, if you are still getting flack better figure out your ROI with an attorney and without an attorney.
