I'm having issues chambering rounds, light primer strikes, the bolt doesn't seem to close completely. I have a PRS stock and a Geissele trigger SSA-E installed. Armalite says its most likely the ammo is underpowered, I've tried Portuguese, DAG, Privi 168/175, it mostly happens with the surplus. opinions?? ammo, trigger hammer spring? buffer spring? it worked fine before the stock and trigger install. I hate to have to go back to factory trigger it sucks compared to the SSA-E. I can't see how it could be the stock? HELP!!

Re: need help with Armalite AR10T

Just going quickly from memory but there is a known problem with this stock IF you don't use the screw supplied as the buffer will hit the stock one. In my experience a Geissele has enough hammer spring to work with rimfire uppers but surplus would have hardened primers. Have you tried any FGMM, BH, or any other match through it? .308 headspaces on the shoulder and 7.62x51 is longer so that might be the bolt closing issue. Sorry I can't be of more help over the internet...

Re: need help with Armalite AR10T

no Federal yet. I did use the screw supplied with the stock. removed the buffer and all seems normal inside, no obstruction and screw isn't protruding, trigger looks normal and tension on the hammer seems plenty strong. chamber is clean and has no obvious burrs and appears normal along with the bolt and gas tube. ??? back to the range with different ammo.......... any other suggestions would be appreciated. I don't believe surplus is the culprit but it could be. if it keeps happening I'm gonna swap out the hammer spring next.
