I was recently moved from my SWAT entry team and assigned to the sniper team. The equipment my department provides is minimal and left up to each sniper to decide on. I am looking for recommendations on equipment to keep in my go bag for deployments. The areas I could be deployed in range from the city shopping mall to rural. Ranges can be 50 yrds to 300 yrds at the extreme. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Weclome to the hide!! I will track you down a post that has a gear list that you will find helpfull.

As for a data book I can assist you in getting a book build for LE use that offers numerous pages that will assist you in urban areas as pages that are mission specific to LE use.

Good luck and enjoy your new position!

Try contacting 'Tactical' with a PM, he used to work that AO and would have a better idea of what you could use past the generic items.

Oh one thing about your tagline, to the best of my understanding, General Washington never took a shot at the British personally. He used the freedom of speech to order others to shoot at them.

I was looking for that to post here as well. Your google-fu is outstanding.
