Looking at possibly getting my first can, intended use is a 260 Rem build for recreational (not competition) shooting, with possible future use on a 7mmRM. I know nothing about suppressors other than what I've read on Zak Smith's website, and that there's a fairly lengthy legal process to be approved to purchase one.
Suppressed Armament Systems is in Indiana just a 2 hour drive from my home, and their prices look to be fairly reasonable.
I did a search here on the Hide and found one recent thread about the Arbiter, where reviews were generally positive. To my naive eye, it looks like the extra $200 for the Arbiter over the SS buys you weight reduction.
I'm curious about SAS' reputation in the suppressor market relative to other manufacturers. I'm also curious of most think the Arbiter is worth the extra $$$ over the SS, and the real-world perceived reduction in both report and recoil. Finally, would most folks simply do the direct thread onto barrel, or do one of the thread-on muzzle break options?
Thanks so much for the insight...
