Newcomer and finished stick....for now!!

Just toook my first sniper school in September and here's my stick...Remington 700 with chopped barrel (20"), trigger job (3.5 lbs), bedded, tactical bolt knob, bagder rings, harris bipod and NF 3.5-15nxs with np-r2 reticle...

Future considerations: Manners T4 or T5 stock, slightly taller rings...

For those that have Manners stocks,are they bedded or not??

You can have them pillar/glass bedded or you can opt for their proprietary DBM Chassis.

Oddball-Six...It was a LE only school...I just started shooting the bolt gun around May..Very grateful for the opportunity and the knowledge I gained was immense...

Hopefully gonna keep this train rolling, just waiting for the backing of the bosses...

Looks good mcimma! 3.5lb trigger pull is pretty high, glad you like it though. Nice group too, 3 or 5 shot?

Glad you had the opportunity! Most departments around here unfortunately dont have the training budget for specialized roles. Our Mobile Field Force, for example, is getting minimal funding this year.

Nice rifle looks like mine except mine's 26". I also like what you did with your scope covers I did the exact same thing. Butler on front and use the one from NF on the back one.

What are you guys running in your area for trigger weight??? Around here, it seems that the 3.5 is the norm...Thanks about the group, best one yet for me...Its 3 rounds...

Sucks about the funding..We are pretty much in the same boat around here, I just got lucky...

Nice set up. I wouldn't go to higher rings, though, I really prefer the scope as low as possible.

I agree but with the current rings, I cant get a Butler Creek over it without touching the barrel...Same problem with camo wrap...I dont think the next step up will make a difference but if anyone knows otherwise, please feel free to tell me....
