For hunting applications using a 300 WSM, for elk in the Washington or B.C., what would you recommend. I have narrowed it down to NF 2.5-10x32 or Accupoint 3-9x40.

The NF is illuminated, and the objective is 800 square mm. The Accupoint the objective is 1200 square mm, and has a duplex with an amber or green dot.

I suspect that the Accupoint is going to be noticeably brighter, and fairly rugged. Would it be more rugged than a Burris or Leupold?

I think if ruggedness is your main criteria you would be better off with the Nightforce. There are numerous members of the hide that will tell you that a Nightforce is one of, if not the most, durable scopes out there.
