Anyone else noticing an uptick in the amount of bullshit emails they are getting? I’m not talking about the usual campaign bullshit, but rather from gun/firearms equipment companies that you’ve never ordered from?

I’m also now getting emails from companies that I’ve opted out of and/or haven’t ordered from in over 7 years.

I just unsubscribed from an email list that says I “opted in” for their emails on October 18th...and I’ve never heard of the company. If you’re in marketing, and your business does this, I hope you’re waterboarded with expired almond milk during the next protest.

God damn virtual junk mail is the new mailbox stuffer of the 90’s.

The only gun-related emails I got recently were a "Check out the new stuff" one from Sarco Inc and a "German Reunification Sale Ending" reminder from a militaria/reenacting supplier.

Both of them went in the trash folder.

What bothers me more are the near-nonstop Biden ads I'm getting on youtube (on my phone at least, can't use adblock on it). Every single one of them gets flagged as "inappropriate" and dismissed, but my music flow or podcasts are still interrupted.

you sound like the guys who complain about too much mail from the NRA......gah the tiresome burden of opening your trash can....

unsubscribe, mark it spam, delete it......like 2 clicks.....

I noticed the same thing AFTER I signed up for a few back in stock notifications.

Wonder if some sites are sellin info... :)

Small price to pay for finding some 168gr GMM, I guess.

Well 1. Fuck the NRA and 2. No shit.

You’ve missed the point. You’re right, it is a simple task of flagging to spam and then deleting the spam folder contents. However the big issue is the industry is selling your information to others. It’s also the same concept as having people you don’t know come up and start talking to you.

Then if you want to take it a step further on the hard copy side, all that junk mail slows down the USPS. Utilizing resources to process trash just so it can be thrown right into the garbage.

They definitely are selling info. That’s the way it all works now.

AmmoSeek is where it’s at for doing a quick daily search for good prices (If you haven’t tried it).

Yeah, ive used it. Works pretty good but some of those sellers seem kinda sketchy...maybe its just me. Yes, its probably me...

Im also what all the rich people here would call a poor, so just trying to catch that GMM somewhere for a good deal.

    :(

So a fun tip if you use gmail and want to see who sells your info. Let's say your email is [email protected]

If you signed up or shopped at a site you can enter your email as [email protected] and will still get emails to your account.

When emails show up from an unrelated company you know they either sold your info or were compromised.

You can also do things like [email protected] and it will still arrive at your gmail account.

Yea I only stick with the big names and, if I have to venture outside of my usual vendors, I’ll research the company on here.
FGMM is all I shoot because I’m a pleb...but it works for me so I’m happy. ...as happy as a peasant that’s been authorized to eat a piece of bread that fell off the table. #GloryDays

They are selling your info. All of those "make a FREE account to use our free service or make an order?" they're selling all the data they collect on you.

Rule of thumb, if you're not paying for a product, you are the end product.
Absolutely true. The only thing I use my email for are orders and in-stock notices on sites I order through. I don’t use it for sweepstakes, bingo night, or datingliberalswithherpes.com.

post your email address and i'll see if you are on any spam lists, lol.
btw, did you win that rifle from the military arms channel? :p
I did! They told me that I needed to just send the $500 to the contest admin office in Nigeria, in order to cover the customs fees.
