I am new to reloading, and am reloading for my Remington 700 (.308) and my dad's Sako TRG 22. We ran our first OCW test today. I am wondering if anyone can help me interpret our results. The first targets that I am posting are from the Sako. I have included the chrono reading for each shot.

The components are once fired federal brass, 175 gr. SMKs, federal no. 210 primers, and IMR 4064. Temperature ranged from 89-95 degrees.

Thank you for any feedback.

OCW is pretty simple with 2 'rules':

Don't count the horizontal shift of the rounds and don't count any rounds (regardless of how good or bad they printed) that you know to be pulled/fired when not set, etc.

With that, I'd say you have a node to investigate in the 41.4 - 42.0 range as well as 43.5 - 44.0. Personally I'd try to split hairs in the higher range and see what gives you the best groups between 43.5 and 44.

These targets were actually from the Sako. Here is a shot of a case for which I used a 44.3 grain load. You have to catch the mark in the right light, and it is flush with the case.
