Who`s up for some more fun with us this year?

I know that some of us have new or upgraded rifles to use this year, and look forward to trying them out ASAP...

Got an itchy trigger finger? Yea, me too...

If the weather doesn`t change in a drastic fashion the next few weeks, would Saturday April 3rd work for some of you folks?

Input please...

This is not a formal announcement, but merely a question, K?

Re: Odessa FV 200yd F-Class 2010

Well, that was some short lived excitement on my part. I was informed this morning that I am committed to visiting relatives in Allentown that weekend. The exact day may still be negotiable. So, if I can work that out to my advantage, the answer is yes. If I have to be visiting that day, it will be a sad no.

Re: Odessa FV 200yd F-Class 2010

John;

There was scant nice weather to bring. I figured if I was going to have to deal with overnight temps in the 20's, I could just as well be doing it at home, with my friends and family, and access to my customary resources.

Each morning I would put the cats out in the screen room. They would take one look, turn around and bolt back inside, and give me cat sneers for thinking them so stupid they wouldn't notice the rime of ice on their drinking bowls.

Meanwhile, my Father-in-Law and I were cooped up together inside the same double-wide, with the customary Alpha Male frictions compounding and compounding. Celia and I decided this could not be allowed to proceed to a predictable end, and bolted for home. Probably a wise choice; as I like him and did not want to permit the weather to influence an otherwise good relationship in so negative a manner.

None of this would have happened if the weather in Florida was what we'd expected the weather in Florida to be; and we'd still be down there come April 3.

So, come April 3 (which is not April Fool's Day, so none of that stuff, guys...), I plan to re-secure my solid lock on last place; "Damn the torpedos and full speed astern, ye maties...!!!

I'm sorry to say that I have to be out of town that weekend; family get-together for Easter at Mohonk Mountain house. I will be playing at Odessa this spring/summer/fall however, and I'm really looking forward to being there once again.

STP; Got the GAP out of hibernation, dusted it off yesterday at 200 yds with some FGMM. 17 rounds fired. Saturday the 3rd will be a little tricky, lots going on that weekend but I hope to be there.

Re: Odessa FV 200yd F-Class 2010

Thanks Scott, Greg, looking forward to seeing everyone again this year. If anyone has been on the fence about trying out one of these matches make it a plan for this year. Great bunch of shooters, lots of experience to draw from (not me) and don't think for a minute 200yds is a slam dunk. One perfect score to date. Sighters and 40rds for score.

Falconer was there alright; acting like Bill Murray in Caddyshack, talking to himself, decked out in camo, jungle boots, face paint, pink airsoft gun, plinking at 10yds. I dropped him off at the Adult Living Center when we were done.

Naw, Falconer was driving his .308 pretty well that day, we're both hoping that the better shooters like Scott, KMussack, jaeger308 keep sharing their Gun Fu wisdom with us.

NO! Think the trigger be the trigger if that happens all else aligns itself.

Check with NASA and the USGS for forecasts of solar flares and sun spots as well as any magnetic anomalies in the earths core that effect external ballistics in western New York for the upcoming dates this season. I think Greg downloads the reports maybe he could pdf them out to those who want a copy?

Re: Odessa FV 200yd F-Class 2010

I`ve encountered more folks in my AO that will be shooting with us this year. A few have even stopped by to see me at work. (Ithaca)

I managed to acquire another Savage recently for the matches. It will be awhile before it`s up and running, but I expect it to be in the running once it`s ready. It`s a 65` receiver with a 73` Douglas XX Premium 26" chambered in .243Win (Unfired!)
It`s in the "shop" for a complete check up

Sunspots..., solar flares...?

No...

Just..., no...

BTW, I managed to lay eyes, (and a hand or two) on STP's .243 'project'. It's a prime piece from where I can see.
