Rifle Scopes older style Leica rangefinder

I know a guy who wants to sell me his Leica rangefinder. It is the older, horizontal style. LRF I think. Is it worth $200 or would I be better off getting a CRF instead? What are the main differences?

It's the 900. I've heard they go past 900 but the accuracy goes down.

The Leica LRF 1200 is worth about $400. Not sure about the 900.
