So I'm going through annealing (Annealeez) new to me once fired Prime 6.5cm brass. After getting setup with Tempilaq etc, about 100 or so pcs in, I had 4 come out looking like the two on the left. At first I thought they were getting too hot, so I turned the heat down real quick, brought it back up again and it stopped. Every other piece looks like the two on the right. I've never seen this before but I'm still new to annealing... any ideas? Thanks!!

EDIT: I just went to turn it back on and the nozzle started spraying liquid propane. There is not much left in the bottle. I'm guessing its not as consistent when the bottle is in the low end, but I would think it would look under annealed if anything.

If it's spraying fuel then the "focus" of the nozzle/flame might not be as tight as with gasseous fuel.

Also, you could get a bottle warmer like they do for automotive nitrous oxide applications. You'll get consistent pressure at a set bottle temperature. (or you could use a full bottle, or a tub of warm water to add thermal mass)

I've noticed a lot of variability in my annealeez with different ambient temps. Used to use it in a garage that varied a bit in temps and was always futzing with the adjustment. Feel like I've used a lot more tempilaq than I should have over time. Full bottles or partial bottles sometimes didn't make much difference.
