So I am picking up a Tikka T3 in .308 and am trying to decide on a scope for it. Currently I have a NF 2.5-10x32 that isn't being used and am deciding if I should throw that on their or sell it and buy a new scope, ideally a FFP scope in the 5-20 power range. The problem I'm having is that even after I sell the NF my budget is going to be about $1500 which isn't very much for what I'm looking for. The rifle will primarily be used on the range which is why I want higher magnification on the top end. So do you guys think I should sell my NF and trade up in magnification or should I just be content with the 2.5-10? If the vote is to sell it what should I look for as a replacement that has:

At least 20x on the top end
Max of 6x on the bottom end
FFP
Illuminated
Zero stop
In the $1500-$1600 price range

Originally I was thinking of a vortex pst but the recent thread about them breaking is making me hesitate

Thanks for your feedback

Id be waiting to see the new Steiner 5-25 model.

It's a few hundred over budget but if it's like it claims on paper it will probably be the best scope sub 2.5k

I'm eagerly awaiting it's arrival.

I have a vortex viper ffp pst mrad 6-24. Good scope, I have never had any problems with it. It gets used regularly. that will leave you a lot of change out of 1500 especially if you buy used.

I was in your boat last year. I got 2 used Razors and have never looked back. I like the nightforce, as I had 3 of them. I sold all 3 and bought 2 Razors, great scopes for the money. The only thing I don't like is the goofy 35mm body. They have changed the new model to a 34mm body. That the way it goes. Good luck, J

The Bushnells come in at around that price point also if you can live without the illuminated reticle. For what it's worth I've owned two scopes with illuminated reticles and never uses the feature outside the hobby room.
