So I had been doing some research on a better way to cut my pelican case foam after a disappointing result with power knives. I ordered a Proxxon Hot Wire Foam Cutter THERMOCUT from amazon, product number 37080, after a little searching. All I can say is wow. Can't get much easier and cleaner than this! If you have several cases to cut or require professional results, this thing is the ticket.
Check it out and don't hesitate to order it.

Man that thing is going to make for one perfect fit!! you willing to take on a job for someone local?

I bought a Harbor Freight hot Knife for $20 to cut foam. It works too. Took a little practice to make really smooth cuts.

I'm sure that gets the job done good enough but that will not guarantee a square cut. Or, even a little bit of a bevel can be set into this. Have it get tighter as the rifle lays into the main pattern. I think this thing is the bees knees
