Hej All,

I'm looking for a convenient set up for ruck training, and it seems stupid to pay the equivalent for the GoRuck vest or APC when I could get something which could also perform its intended purpose if I picked up some plates.

Is there a carrier y'all would recommend that is particularly comfortable, even just over a T-shirt or tank? I think the heaviest I would go with it would be 40 pounds, and I assume any of the well made stuff could handle that.

Thanks in advance.

The benefit of a Goruck (or any) pack is you can wear it anywhere without getting the PD called on you.

In many cases not a big deal, but you have an opportunity to spend more time under weight if using a pack.

Smart idea to invest in a carrier that you are actually using for the job. Too many people get caught up in the social media ads seeing guys wearing the mock training vests and takes money away from building their actual kit.

A few carriers I would recommend from experience would be the Ferro Slickster or Crye JPC 2.0. Both of these carriers are built to survive some shit and keep a low profile, minimalist design. Both are great lightweight options as well. I also liked the TREX ARMS AC1 the few times I used one but I won’t support their company anymore
