Hi, i can no longer shoot more powerful rifles. I have my first rifle, a Savage 112V in .222 Remington. Nothing too fancy but it's special to me. It's in pretty nice shape however one small area by the recoil lug is a bit soft...a very small area. I probably over oiled it in my youth.

I would love to get it properly bedded. Not sure to whom or where to send it. Not a wealthy man but would like it to be nicely/properly done. I'm in San Diego.

Appreciate your help.

thanks
i will check out the DIY sub forum to see if its something i can manage. It seems funny, it's only an old rifle but its kind of special for me, brings back great memories of youth and friendship

Mine is that same way, my Dad bought mine for me, on my first leave from the Army right after Airborne school. Not much left on it thats original other than the action, and the bolt.

I personally would keep my Distance from Phoenix Custom Rifles in Phoenix. I have had Brad work on 1 Rifle for me and won't be going back. I have heard the same from several PRS and F-Class Shooters in the Phoenix area. The work he did was substandard at best. When I called them out on it I got the run around.
