I watch "COPS" to much. The most ridiculously sensational part of it is to watch regular traffic cops become the most enlightened among us. Above reproach in any manner. They instantly become the judge of all things moral.

When they adjust their belt in front of the camera guy and say "let me go talk to this kid and see what he was thinking" is what gets me.

I love it when the guy in cuffs says "dude, shut the fuck up and take me to jail". It just makes me laugh!

My favorite thing though is when the perp exercises their right (rarely happens) to sit there and not say a word.
Cop, especially the HP guys, look like Rumpelstiltskin standing there losing their shit.

Especially the episodes back in the 90s up to like 2015.

Rant over

"Quit resisting, quit resisting!"...Whack Whack...."Quit resisting, quit resisting"!
Watching Cops is like going to walmart at 2am, except you could do it from the comfort of your own home, without having to actually go to walmart at 2am. And even better, is you can stream it now, at any time of the day....for free.

I confess I did watch it somewhat religiously when they were in Broward County (when NIck Navarro was Sheriff) and in Multinomah County, Oregon. It did seem to launch a pretty good career for John Bunnel. FIrst Sergeant, then Lt. and then I think (off the show) he rose to Sheriff of some alternate county in Oregon, only to return finally as Sheriff of Multinomah County before retiring to his private consultancy. And who could forget Deputy Lihda Canada in Broward. Retired as a Captain. Hmmmm.... Wonder how that happened.....
