I have a question about POI. If you remove a barreled action from one stock and replace it into a different stock, without disturbing the optics mounted. Would there be a POI change?

The 700 5R was bedded in the HSP, but is now going into a Manners mini-chassis straight in. I'll shoot it a bit first and see if any bedding is needed. I am at the moment thinking that it could go both ways with the POI. but if the optics remain zero'd with the action when removed why would there be?

Re: POI shift

It will probably shift. The interface between the action and stock has changed, the weight is different, chassis may sit against your body differently, comb height may be different etc, etc,.

Somebody around here said it: "Little things matter at a distance"
