This is not quite correct. You can be armed in a Michigan church, I believe if the presiding official approves you can carry in a church.
For members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the church's General Handbook covers what is and is not allowed in many situations. Bishop may change but not likely. I don't like it and may not follow that specific one at times. Maybe.

I was referring to Michigan law, I admit to knowing nothing of the LDS rules.
