I don't disagree with you. The unfortunate part in all is this is there isn't shit that any of us can do (other than what you suggest).

The thing we all need to prepare for is very high gas prices. It doesn't take mental heavyweight to see what is coming, and that the administration has no plans to fix it. The ME is about to use it's primary weapon - oil. So that leaves....Venezuela, and a few others. Exxon just bought Pioneer for $56B so they will make a killing out of all of this since private land seems to be the main path forward for US production. At least until the EPA steps in either on the fields or at the refineries.

“One of the outstanding comments in your note was no crime. We live in a small town about 25 miles North of the US/Mexico border. There is so much cross border crime, I never go outside, front or back, without scanning the area closely. A helluva way to live but that is just how it is. Would not know how to react living in a place where one could walk freely outside without having to constantly be on guard. You know it is bad when myself and a church safety team member arrive armed to attend a service. One thing for absolute sure, things are not getting better.
