That's actually not necessarily true. What you are saying is true for a diagnosis, but not a disorder. For example, transgenderism used to be classified as a disorder, which it is, but was reclassified as a dysphoria. Being a dysphoria allows for $$$$$$$ for treatment without the "stigma" of having a disorder. Likewise, dislexia is considered a disability, and can get $$$$$, but is not a disorder.
Sociopathy, psychopathy etc are disorders, as is pedophilia. It isn't a euphemism, just a categorization.
In any case, I was simply trying to use the correct word. Molesting is a crime, pedophilia is a disorder. Most pedophiles, apparently, are able to constrain themselves. Or so the research says. Whatever the case, if anybody took any of my statements to be a defense of pedophilia, then I apologize. They were not.
