I recently had a badger thruster installed on my rifle. However, after a while I noticed it isn't indexed 100% correctly, when facing the muzzle it is rotated counterclockwise 5-8 degrees. I know it probably doesn't make much of a difference, but I kinda wished I went with the FTE anyway so I bought one in hopes of just taking the thruster off and replacing it. I got my FTE today though and started comparing the prints:

FTE on top, thruster on bottom. It looks like the 5/8-24 connection on the FTE is supposed to be .100" longer. If it weren't for the relief at the base of the connection I know it could just be threaded further, so now I'm thinking I can't do it without sacrificing 1/2" of barrel. Am I right?

Just push the shoulder back .100 and don't worry about the threads. Turn down the barrel for the pinch collar in the brake and go shoot.
