Preferred NF reticle for a range/hunting rifle?

I’m currently putting together parts for a do it all kind of rifle. It will mostly be a range gun, but will make its way on a hunt here or there. I’m currently deciding between the beast and the 7-35, regardless of which NF model I choose what is your recommendation on a do it all kind of reticle?

For me the MIL-XT is the pick of the bunch at the minute, I asked a similar question on the forum recently as I need a new scope for PRS and the Nightforce 7-35X fits the bill:

If you like grid reticles, or are interested in trying them, the Mil-XT is perfect.

If you’re a traditional reticle guy, then the Mil-C is great. Nothing wrong with the Mil-R, but the other two are preferred by me.

Regardless, you can’t go wrong.

I've gone back and forth studying the Mil-R versus the Mil-C photos, but I like the open, uncluttered crosshair intersection on the Mil-R best. So, that is what I have in my Nightforce scopes. I can see that the Mil-C might be a bit quicker for ranging, though, with those extra hash marks.

I've only used Mil-C (a friend's) and Mil-XT (mine). I might like the C better but don't regret getting the XT which, since it's new to me, I think will grow on me. I got the XT because the C wasn't available and I'm impatient.

My favorite it the NF R2, but it seems Leupold missed the mark on the opportunity to one up them and use a 1 moa consistent spacing on the B&C or Varmint reticle. At least it appears that way. Looks like another BDC reticle unevenly spaced and calibrated for something.
