Because this happens when you have your sexy Tikka T3x Tac A1 on the work bench, on the bipod, then you bump it, and it falls to the ground... landing on the bolt handle....

Tikka T3x Tac A1 I just got.Damn. What type of rifle is that?
If they didn't discontinue it..... just got that info from Brownells.I’m guessing the factory will replace it.
Fuck it. I remembered I found a precision TIG welding/machine shop near me. I've used him before and he's good peoples.

Yup, those right handed bolts are that price.Ouch.
Hopefully the new bolt headspaces very close to the old bolt... otherwise you might be looking at a barrel setback and rechambering too.
If they won't warranty it a new bolt looks to be about $370...
say what now? The Tac A1 is discontinued?
The t3 left hand replacement bolt is discontinued as a individual part
Wrong. The forces are going the wrong way for that little section to have any load bearing responsibilities. The bolt would push on the opposite side of the handle.Looks like if the lugs failed that bolt would of wound up in your face if the body was that weak.

Force goes to the rear, not to the front. You would have to shear the entire length of the bolt body ahead of the handle for it to fail similarly.

They won’t replace it under warranty?Well, Midwest Gun Works and Brownells, the sellers of Tikka parts both advised a big fat negative on a left hand replacement bolt body in 308 case head diameter.
Called Beretta USA and they directed me to Midwest and Brownells.
They look like they know there shit, welding under a microscope . You didn't trust the local stick welder at the junk yard ?Dropped it off my a local laser welder/micro TIG specialist. Should be done in a day or two. I'll show results
These guys are badass. Used them before
