I was trying to upload a pic to use as an avatar. I couldn't get the crop window to move to center it over my pic. Not sure if it's a problem with my phone or something else. Just thought I'd mention it.
LEO/Mil section is a little wonky. Yesterday, i was posting with no issues, there were posts in there that aren't visible anymore, and all the dates of posts are now 01/01/1970. If I click on a post, it kicks me back to the main forum view

Frank, glad you made the move back to the old Hide! When you get a chance, can I get my post count updated from Scout. I had 198 on Scout under the same username. Thanks!

Frank, is it I, you, or a Mod that has to move those personal sniper threads over (Fieldcraft)? If it is 'me' that does it, can you tell me how to move the thread? Or is it as simple as a copy and paste, with no 'type limit'?

I cut/pasted them all over to here, surprised that it let me do each in 'one fell swoop', but it sure ain't pretty. If you have any pointers for doing a 'cleaner job' for either myself or anyone else who's going to do this, then by-all-means, sing-out!

I am having a problem on Tapatalk. I am able to post in all the other threads and reply to anything except in the exchange section. It says that I don't have permission to reply or respond to anything. Maybe others have mentioned it but just a heads up. All the other threads seem ok from what I have seen. Just the optics and firearm for sale ads.

Hey LL, I have a couple of issues I was hoping you could look at. One is that I cannot subscribe to boards. I gives me an error of "Sorry, you are not authorized to view this page (no_permission)". I can open the board and I can subscribe to the individual threads I just can't subscribe to the board as a whole.
My other issue is that on some boards I can click on the "Mark this channel read" button and it works fine but on others it does nothing. The page will refresh but all the threads I have not opened still indicate they are unread. Notifications seem to a little borked - I get one, click "Dismiss" on it in the Message Center. The notification disappears from the Message Center, and the red number next to "Notifications" at the top of the page goes away. Then I click on "Home" or otherwise return to the forum, and the red number re-appears next to Notifications, and the same notification is back in my Message Center.
For me the bugs in the forum pretty much cleared themselves up overnight with the exception of the one regarding the ignore function. From what I'm gathering is anytime you change ANYTHING on your profile or account settings, it also resets your blocked members. It's no real big deal for me because I only got one member blocked, but for someone who has many many members blocked, it could turn into a real pain to have to deal with each time a setting gets changed. Other than that, I'm not seeing any issues on my end and the site is loading incredibly fast too!
The corruption in the permissions has me baffled and appears random, I am working on it, but if I fix one thing it kills another. It appears to be a result of the change from vBulletin 4.2 to 5.2, which had the potential to cause a host of errors ... some of the localized, individual errors it doesn't appear I can fix. At some point over the weekend I will try a maintenance sweep of everything and see what that does, but even on the Moderator level we have errors that I cannot fix. Change one thing it breaks another, it's pretty random and inconsistent which is something really hard to fix.
I am trying to fix these things but it's not quite as simple as checking a box or changing a single setting. I may have to reset every single permission and start over turning things on and off, which is a royal pain in the ass. The permissions are no longer universal but broken down by every single user group, every single category, every single forum section. So we'll see what I can do ?

Frank - would really appreciate getting my post count back - I was Robb57 on Scout and have been a member for several years but didn't post much until the last year or so. I think my count was just under 400. Any chance I could get my user name set back to Robb57? Thank you kindly.

I was going to wait awhile for things to cool down. Also for me the following in low priority. I have lost the permission to "like" posts. Pretty low on the ladder, but you said details matter. More of a FYI right now. FYI did work the first couple of days (2-12 to 2-14)

Just about to post the same observation when I saw this, was working fine for me till about two days ago? Now getting this message: You are not logged in or you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
I was eddiemac302 on Scout with a post count of 130, please adjust post count to 198 here under my old account, eddiemac, Thanks

Frank, in the DIY section, can you sticky the "FFL Transfers from Non-FFL's LIST" thread, and maybe un-sticky the old (original and outdated) one. With respects to the originator.
And maybe turn off whatever it is that is making all my type turn into a link, underlined, and everything. Make it stop!!!!

I you cannot stay logged in your browser is blocking the cookies it' either in invisible mode, privacy etc, .. that system is working but a browser can block it

You have the controls, go into your setting and see what is checked, if I had something turned on it would happen to everyone

That is just a preview you are looking at ... Or you can click on the notification at the top and it will open a separate vB chat / messenger where you can have a chat conversation
It's great to be home! Actually, I didn't join in until 11-10-15 so have no previous knowledge of the old hide only scout ... But I love it so far! Frank your doing a hell of a great job and thank you for giving us all a place to bitch and brag and look at sweet ass pictures and shit! I was able to start a new account under my same scout name Jakebrake300 although it didn't recognize my earlier date or the measly 18 posts I had.. 'Merica!!
