Here's a bit of a starter sale in the mean time before Black Friday. We have a small-ish quantity of Rock Creek blanks (same kind of blank we sold for years). This used to be a staple product for us from 2016-2021 but as COVID rocked many of us around it caused some hiccups in deliveries for a lot of reasons. Osprey was a startup brand for PVA to make sure we always had our supply of blanks, but that doesn't mean I don't have a high opinion of Rock. When we can get stuff we will still offer it for sale. Just so happens I have a small amount of their great blanks here now.

Can you make an AR barrel outta one?
With a lot of work yes, but the price point on these is based on getting them through the process for bolt guns as advertised.

We will be doing an AR15 barrel sale for Black Friday and I am optimistic we will have the AR10's ready for BF launch too.

How does the button barrel Rock compare to the Osprey PVAs or a proof? I like the price.
Can't speak to the Proof as a head to head but there are ABSOLUTELY NO flies on the rock barrels. The older PVA stuff was rock and mine were hammers. Thr osprey stuff is solid but in a sample size of one (personally) I don't fee comfortable saying it's better than the rock stuff. It's good and I'd buy either one or both again.

The Osprey is comparable performance to the top tier things like Benchmark's et al. The Rock cut rifled shop is in that mix.

These barrels are the OEM Shop at Rock and they're excellent. Most shooters, even most match shooters, cannot shoot the difference between the two Rock products. However if you were to put them on a BR rifle and go after a 5x5 you'd likely see one that shoots in the 0's and 1's while the other shoots in the 3's.

A LOT of people got a good view of just how good button barrels are, even ones that are not extensively lapped and handled with the thousands of prefits that we/PVA cut from Rock button products. The Rock button product is one of the reasons that I learned how much the bore control is important and why cut rifled and button rifled isn't the comparison that people should be concerned with over how well the drill/ream/pre-lap or hone process is handled in the blanking process.

Link to more info on AR10 barrels please 👍
May jump on one of these RC barrels, my Osprey has been awesome so far!!!
There's nothing on the website yet because we aren't taking orders for them and they're not released.

The AR10 barrels are going to be Osprey blanks just like we use for the bolt gun barrels, I'm finalizing port sizes and chamber specifics now to make sure we don't need further tweaks for reliability reasons.
