Not really. You ever wonder why more people don't take out the perp as soon as they commit a crime, or why people do not what to get involved?
Its because the scumbag has more rights than those the law was written to protect. No one seems to care about the victims unless it was someone in the JUST-US system after the deed is done, as they are more worried about the perps rights. The only right the perp has is to pay up right then & there, until that happens it just empowers them(perps) to do more as they know the punishment is total B/S for the crime. We don't need more jails & prisons we need street justice on the spot,...

Unless I am reading it wrong you just recounted the problem with how the law and punishment are being applied. In which case you should have said exactly, instead of not really.

Nope the law as written is the problem. If the law said street justice is prudent & justified should you catch the perp's in the act, things would be much different. The only thing allowing crime to increase is the way laws are written,... for it is restraining those who would take out the trash quickly, vs worried about going to jail & losing everything they have protecting others. Change the law wording and see what happens, but they don't want it to or would never allow change, for then it would not be JUST-US, vs true Justice. That bitches blind fold is a ruse and has always been one. For money, power, or out right lies by dirty cops, proves that every day.

Legal systems are meant to turn everybody who isn't a part of the "elite" into passive sheep who can be abused and robbed at will. This happens to all civilizations and is why old and decadent empires are always overrun by younger and more vital barbarians. I don't think I'll live long enough to see this in the US but its coming.
