Re: recomend a smith to install a brake
I have a vais on a couple different rifles. much quieter then any other brake I have witnessed. Another advantage is it doesnt require any allignment to the barrel as far as rotation.
It works, but since i have never shot two identical rifles with a different brake, i cant say which works better.
and I had two brakes installed by RW Snyder, and two done by Kampfeld Custom (one was a full build).
Karl Feldkamp (KampfeldCustom) is the smith I use for everything now. His work is top notch and while he is a little backlogged, Good work is worth waiting for.
Every date he has given me was within a week of shipping it back to me. Both of the brakes he installed cannot be seen or felt when screwed down. It looks like the ports are machined into the barrel. If anyone wants pics of his work, shoot me a PM. I dont work for him, but a loyal customer who has constantly been impressed with his work.
