Been reading on a local gun forum that there is talk about what determines a RED FLAG situation? Well now some folks have a new theory. You can be a law abiding citizen, no threats, no mental issues BUT if you have TOO many firearms or TOO much ammo this would constitute a RED FLAG on you! They would kick your door down and confiscate your property. Not trying to stir the hornets nest, but it is something to think about. They might leave you a .22, a shotgun and 20 rds of ammo? I could see this as the next step in the "big" picture.

Here is the article that mentions this in the last paragraph: https://news.yahoo.com/police-trying-arrest-way-mass-175059719.html

It is more like a hint that a statement. Kind of like probable cause?

Don't know if you have to be a member to read it?

Add another part to this equation - people forget that we are being watched and listened to on a daily basis. Look at all of the recent articles concerning technology and what it is being used for. Look up Alexis/Echo/Siri/doorbells with cameras. Do not think for one minute that this information won't be used for a "Red Flag" incursion.

This lady got it in a nutshell. Whats the ROOT of the problem?

Jillian Peterson, an assistant professor at Hamline University and co-founder of The Violence Project, told Insider.

She continued: "I think it's the response we have to work on, really, as a society. We don't have a great response plan. You can arrest, and in some cases that's absolutely appropriate … however, that doesn't get at the root of why this happened, and in many cases it can just make it worse. It adds fuel to the fire, it intensifies the grievance."

Was trying to tell someone yesterday they will setup a Catch-22 eventually. It will start in CA and spread. It will go like this-

You have to be crazy to want a gun in this day and age. Especially if there are children in the house. Therefore if you have guns or try and buy one you are too crazy to have one. Permit denied in the blue states. Red Flagged in the purple states. Eventually trickle over to the red states.

Reminds me when a buddy was a law student. Was discussing one of his classes regarding murder. They had to argue it both ways. You have to be crazy to murder someone, so arent all murderers crazy enough to claim that as a defense? A good lawyer is well trained to argue both ways- would think it can be applied here.

THAT, is a dangerous assumption. Add to that, the simple word of 'murder'..... there are MANY different tangents that can divert from the typical line of thinking.

I would suggest that 'assuming' (making an ass out of 'you' and the 'other guy') not be part of the deciding process.

Agreed, but that question was the topic of their law class. Lawyers who can argue all people who murder are crazy (or none are) can argue all people who own guns are crazy and should be denied them. Sure there is no shortage of such types in the lesser states.

The MSM has been building these false claims up for years. They go something like this

"If you have more than 1 or 2 guns you are a crazy person"
"if you have more than one or two boxes of ammo you are a crazy person"

"If you combine both the above, you are complete whack job"

This negative reinforcement is projected on the public daily, more of the leftist/socialist brain washing

Notice any time there is any sort of nut job shooter on the loose and they find many guns or more than a 100 rounds of ammo, they focus on that as being part of 'the problem'

I shop at Costco and other warehouse type stores and search for discounts on everything I do, sometimes those discounts involve purchasing a volume of an item to get a price break, and more you buy the cheaper just about anything gets. This is a standard pricing model for just about any product, why make it negative for one type of product?

All I had to do was insert "policer seize arsenal" and click search. Three rifles and three pistols and not enough ammo to fill the reasonable amount of magazines.
