1st time shooting 1 mile. Self spotting with a Phone Skope. Got it done in 10 shots. I might have clipped it high on my 2nd shot.

--DOPE for 1 mile: 59 MOA elevation, backed magnification to 9.5x and held on the bottom post of the BDC. 96.5 MOA total with holdover. 1 MOA left windage. I have 61 MOA of available elevation in the scope itself.

--Scope base: 20 MOA long action Leupold 1-Piece Backcountry Cross-Slot.

Good to see more 06 posts.

I have the Long Range as well. Just need to get back into reloading before I try some longer range shots.

Nice work.

I also shoot the 30-06 long range.

I can get to 1 mile with approx 72 moa/22 mils (elevation 4500 ft) with this load:

215gr Berger
54gr RL17
2650 fps from my 22.5" barrel.

My rifle is also Rem 700, McMillan A2 stock, Douglas #7 1/10 twist barrel, 22.5", Badger Ord floorplate, brake, knob, lug.
I have a SWFA 12X on a 45moa Badger Ordnance rail. This gives me over 30 mils 'up' in the erector, plus 10 mils on the reticle.

Reading your posts is a big reason why I went .30-06. Have you tried the new 208 LRHT?

Excellent work that is fun to see. I will second the comment on Lapua brass my buddy and I did some experimenting b/c Hornady and Lapua and the mystery of vertical dispersion at 1mile went away fast after both going to Lapua exclusively.

You have virtually THE EXACT same setup as i do.. Gun EXACTLY like mine, you use 180SST, I use 178 ELD .. You got diamondback vs my crossfire.. My reloads duplicate factory.. I only have access to 500 yrds, but still sub moa.. You prove what i tell people... With todays bullets, the 30'06 CAN STILL DO LONG RANGE👌.. It did it in Vietnam with just a 173gr matchking.. You ALSO prove you dont have to have 6K $ in a rifle to do it.. All i did was trigger work, breaks like glass at 1 3/4 pounds.. Thats it.. You prove similar load as mine CAN "reach out there" 😁

I'm about ready to bite on a 7 PRC, the only thing holding me back on the Remy is I cant tell from any photos if the barrel if tthreaded, or would I have to have it done. My Remy 799 PCR in 6.5 manbun is threaded.

YOuve got one, is it threaded?

Your 10 twist is doing ok with 215s?
