Well I went and picked up my rifle from Mark yesterday, and just had to give her a go this morning. She can definitely shoot better than I can, I can't wait to stretch her legs out. Specs:

Remington 700 action, trued
Rock Creek .308, 1-11.27", 5R, cut to 22"
McMillan A3, bedded
Williams bottom metal
PT&G recoil lug
Stock x-mark trigger (for now)
EGW 20 moa base and burris xtr lows (for now)
Gen 4 Wotac, fixed 10x mil/mil (for now)

And this is how she shoots. all rounds loaded to mag length, win brass, br-2 primers, 168 smk on top of RE-15. 100 yards, all five shot groups, off a bipod and rear bag. Will be coming up with a 175 smk/varget load next week. Each flyer was purely my own fault. Groups are measured from edge to edge

Re: S.A.C. has done it again, range report

I am curious about your loads - Re 15x from 40.5 to 44 Grains. Did you have quite a bit of movement with that much difference in loads? Were you changing the optics as you go or did you leave it the same through out the shooting session.

Re: S.A.C. has done it again, range report

I left the scope the same. You can see the 44.0 load was a bit higher.

I had really coarse increments with the powder charges- .5 grains. I really just wanted to load up some rounds and shoot. I dont really want/need a load for the 168s, I just had some sitting around, and didn't have a whole lot of time at the range.

I will do a proper OCW test with 175s and Varget this week hopefully.
