It was a management buyout, not a (new) buyer. Vista provided capital. Unless the current team can generate interest in further external investment, or open their own wallets further, seems unlikely they will have the funds to get very innovative. If money is not coming in from those sources, look for product line reductions and workforce downsizing to generate the money needed to survive and move forward. Simple economics.
