Well got blown out of my socks (in a good way!) when my father-n-law gave me his .308 Blaser R 93 Tactical CISM, along with several 10rd. mags and accessories for my birthday. Has the saddle back scope mount with 1 inch rings. Did not come with a scope (he gave the scope to a friend deploying to the 'stan), so I would like some input on what scope should I get. Being money is a little tight right now, my local fun shop suggested a Burris 200189 FullField II 4.5-14x42mm Ballistic Plex Reticle, but what say you all?

Whoa, pardner!! You will find that you can't stick just any 1" scope on that Blaser saddle mount. Bring the rifle with you and make sure that everything fits right and the scope is at the right spot front to back for your hold. I have two Blasers with the saddle mount and both wear Leupolds that fit pretty well - one came from Blaser that way.
What does "CISM" mean? My 308 Blaser says something like R93 UIT and has a really nice 10-round magazine that feeds like buttah.
PS I should add that the Leupold supplied by Blaser was a (off the top of my head) Leupold Vari-X-III 4.5-14x40mm Tactical with a 1" tube, a duplex reticle (but they are available with a mil dot too or can be changed at Leupold), AO adjustable objective, and "target turrets". These scopes come up from time to time on SH, so you might check eBay or stay tuned on SH for one.

A NightForce has a 30mm tube, and the 30mm Blaser saddle mount would be another $250 (he has a 1" mount now). Moreover, the scope may or may not fit the rifle as I mentioned earlier.

For a 1" mount, the only thing i can think of is a zeiss conquest. They are much better than the Burris. Good luck with your decision.

I have the Blaser Tac II. I top it off with a IOR 3x18x42. I got it off here on the hide classified. Its working pretty good for me right now.
