I am getting ready to order a torque wrench or torque wrenches from Scott. I will mostly use 68" lbs for swapping barrels in my Desert Tactical rifle.
My question is about the adjustable Seekonk wrench. Would seem more practical, assuming it is as accurate as the preset wrenches. Most base screws are 65"lb but I also use Glen Seekins rings and they are 55"lb. Not a huge deal, I imagine, but it would be nice to have the ability to adjust. Also, not a huge deal, but the DT is supposed to be 68"lbs not 65. I am just thinking the adjustable wrench is more versatile, but they dont seem very common. Is it simply because the preset wrenches are more convenient or is there some other reason the adjustable wrenches are less popular?
Lastly, for anyone who has the adjustable wrench, is the $50 upgrade for the audible cleck a good way to go or is the visual reference good enough?
