With this essential and non-essential classifications I am wondering how many are really needed?
In the case of the LE types I am sure there is plenty of fat to be trimmed from the top end but what about the guards at the Federal Pens?
Most Pens are understaffed already and if a few quit because of this that is OK too as they weren't really all that dedicated, however, bills need paid.
What should the Govt. do? Open the doors and let a whole bunch of bad hombres out? That would be a real shit show as I don't think they are in there because they have dandruff.
Close the doors on SuperMax and let Ted K and his friends back out on the street and all of the MS-13 Assholes go too because the guards watching them have moved on to jobs where they can support their families?
Maybe figure out just who is essential and get them a check so they don't move on?
Your thoughts?
Army Jerry, I know, fuck them all, I hope there is a Pen near you to supply targets and they let them out one at a time so you have time to aim.
BUY MORE AMMO in case they escape real fast and I hope you have something belt fed.

Are federal prison guards homeland security or justice Dept? To my knowledge it’s only DHS that has “furloughed officers and agents.

Federal Bureau of Prisons is under DOJ, but they aren't being paid either. Non-essential personnel are furloughed and essential personnel are currently working without pay.

DSS isn't getting paid either. I'm not sure if they fall under DHS or DOJ. My buddy said a lot of agents are pissed that they have to work being considered essential employees and aren't getting paid.

Diplomatic Security Service is Dept. of State.

Hi,

Every single Federal Government employee signed their employment documents with initials beside the very section that states whether they are considered essential or non-essential during events such as "Government Shutdowns" and that they understand the possibilities of working with delayed (Because there is no such thing as NO pay) pay.

Sincerely,
Theis

Gents gents, we should fire all of them and invoke the 10th amendment.

Amendment X
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
So what do you do with those that have a direct constitutional mandate under Article I, section 8 ?

Read Article 1 Section 8 and you will see the government is doing a lot more damage than they are actually allowed to be doing. Internal war is near.

U.S. Constitution - Article 1 Section 8

The underlined portions sure sound a lot like the mission of U.S. Customs and U.S. Border Patrol. I wonder if that is where the idea came from?
