looking for a scope for my remmy 700 ltr...will use the rifle as an all around rifle for both he range and hunting...i heard the leupold mark IV is a duel purpose scope that can be used for hunting or on a tactical rig...any opinions on that or is there a better scope for the job....

Nightforce 2.5-10x32 would be a good choice. Mil/mildot w/zero stop would be my choice. Deer won't know the difference ;-).

Why can't you use any tactical scope for hunting? Get a "tactical" scope that is smaller in size with a low magnification at the low end and you have what you are looking for.

I am with Scooter and Nick 100%. You can hunt with any tactical scope. If you want more then 10 power on the top end go with a 3.5-15x50 Nightforce.
