P.S. they don’t make any howitzers or tanks out of cast iron. They make some (heavy) pans and some engine blocks out of the stuff…it retains heat well but is brittle compared to armor plate and whatever they make real howitzers out of.
A cast iron howitzer would immediately blow up when firing its first 152mm shot and a cast iron tank would have holes punched through it no problem.
