Rifle Scopes So I'm looking through a S&B the other day....

Shooting a friends rifle last weekend, and had a strange occurrence...

It had the P4 reticle ( I think), and when I looked at it with my sunglasses on, it appeared bright blue, so bright, I thought the illumination was on!

My sunglases where Costa Del Mar's and have the polarized lenses, but this has never happened with my USOs', Luepolds', Horus' or any other scope for that matter...

Any one else notice this? Must be something unique to Schmidt.

You don't happen to have blue mirror lenses on your costa's do you?

I wear prescription Costa's with the blue mirror tint. I run a USO on my .308 and haven't had that issue.
Only thing I can think of is if the sun is reflecting off the mirror coat onto the eyepiece and you are seeing that, but I am not sure.

Yup. Must be the way they react with S&B's particular coatings...
