Aaaaannnnd the slant from the left:

Something much more balanced, little to no evidence of bias and opinion:

Population explosion since 2000. Is it a bunch of lefties moving in from kali?

Sorry to say there are quite a few letters in the opinion section of the local CdA paper complaining about all the armed citizens. One even stated that "people were cowering in their homes". I'm sure they would have been much happier and relieved to have nice polite BLM and Antifart thugs running loose in their neighborhoods.

It's truly amazing how small minded people are/have become and have ZERO, not a little, ZERO capability to think for themselves and not drink the poison served by the press (I won't say Kool-Aid because I still like Cherry and Grape Kool-Aid...LOL).

I'd be checking peoples guns out if I was there...going..hmmm...hadn't thought about that approach, or...nice, very nice...The Poors have done well. ;).

A little of this topic, granted, but I had an "incident" yesterday that kind of caught me off guard at the range where a guy (higher up at the range) swept me with the pointy end. The gun was unloaded, no mag, slide open, and I could see nothing in chamber; but...not only was I swept, his finger was on the go-button!!!!! Yes, you read that correctly, ON the go-button, not beside the go-button. I guess folks that are at the range daily take safety for granted. Me...I learned NOT to do that at 4-5 years old with the BB gun when I swept somebody at grandfather's house. I was dragged through the coals by my grandfather, the coals were then stoked, and I was dragged through again. Point made. Never had to be taught that lesson again. Still never seen a better shotgun shooter than my grandfather - guy was freaking unreal. So he knew a thing or two about gun safety and taught Dad and me well.

Three of my neighbors are retired LEOs. Two are retired LA County sheriff deputies and one is retired LAPD/retired USAF. They all work at the local range. :)
My Sergeant moved there several year back, another former coworker will be there in a few months and a couple close friends that retired from Northern Ca LE will be moving there as well. My wife and I are working on our exit plan now. Hopefully we will displace some of the lefties that moved there. One of my closest friends owned Uva Pizza off of Lakeside.
