Someone murdered Charlie Kirk

I shoot empty 12 gauge hulls with a 10/22 repeatedly at 100yds and shoot steel rapid fire at 100 with pistols off hand and any of you could too. The shot wasn’t anything crazy 90% of people could pull off with some luck
My annual Easter bash is called Laurel Creek Farm Annual Easter Egg Shoot. We get brand new shooters hitting eggs at 100 with my zombie 22 every year.

Yes, do-able (with hand die). Would I ? Absolutely not.

My opinion (and it's worth what you paid for it) is that the only way to absolutely insure concentricity is to chuck the barrel up in a lathe and have the trunion of the barrel supported by an adjustable spider attached to the back end/left side of the headstock. Then, you use alignment pins in the bore and dial indicators in each end of the barrel and dial it in.

Having said the above, it could be that the shooter (or, an accomplice(s)) knew that the shot count was going to be low (or one, as it turned out) and did not care about baffle strikes. That is, if a suppressor was even used. There's so much bad information floating around on this post, I won't even begin to speculate about that.

Exactly. And I don't think a suppressor 'was' used. I think it was Mic anomalies. And someoene here who said they had a relative at the event said the 'boom' was obvious on the ground. "Spike" sounds are not picked up by voice mic's easily.

Any and all can be threaded for a suppressor. But it's not just 'Run a die over it... .

But like I said... can it be done? Sure. The cruder the tools availalbe, though, the greater the skill to make them work.
It can be done.

I am just thinking that this rifle almost certainly did not have a suppressor fitted. And even less-likely by the shooter who doesn't look like can pick his nose without his parents helping.

Sirhr
No need to drag me into the threading argument. He asked what the OD of a Mauser barrel was and I answered.

Not necessarily. Depends on the depth of the headstock, and the length of the barrel.

You might have to Mansplain "Headstock" to some...

Mansplain = Man Explaining.

Headstock = the hole up the middle of the lathe chuck and geared part of the lathe... that determines how big or long a piece of metal will fit up there.

Lathe = Big spinny thing that is used to make round thingies and, if you know what you are doing, cut threads.

Threads = The things that let you turn solvent traps on to your Mauser Fudd gun. Not = Internet discussion groups.

I can go on ;-)

Cheers,

Sirhr

People need to realize we live in the real world not a Clive Cussler book yeah its not as exciting as a grand conspiracy but Occams Razor says it is more than likely it was some lefty turd with a hunting rifle

FIFY

Supposedly the rifle was a Mauser M18. Comes with a threaded barrel too for those arguing about it:

It's interesting how they didn't show the muzzle. I like how his rear scope ring is right against the turret pfft he obviously had some length of pull issues, which makes sense being a pussy. Doesn't look like a long action to me, bolt handle is different and doesn't have the branding on the buttstock...

Lawsplaing.... It's going to be a new thing here.

I like it!

"You had things Lawsplained"

This = Lawless Explaining.

Which means people should listen carefully!

This post is a joke

A joke is a funny line or story someone tells to make themselves or others laugh.

The joke is about a guy named lawless and his explaining a post.

The poster of this joke was referring to “mansplaining” but replaced “man” with “lawless” since lawless was doing the mansplaining.

I don't think anyone is saying they can't act abhorrently. More like, just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should do something.

Eggs are expensive

Up here so many people have chickens that during this time of year... Egg boxes are worth more than eggs!

They are like zucchini! You don't want to leave your car unlocked or someone might leave eggs!

Anyone know if Old Testament bibles are still available new in print? I'm not an atheist but I don't own a bible, and I'm thinking I might pick one up- just don't want any 'woke' version.

I wonder what bible the Greek Orthodox use?

I want something heavy, thick leather covers, large print format offers lots of pages- that way it could double as a weapon in case I need to beat a tied up foreign enemy with it. :ROFLMAO:
I have a digital copy of the NASB on my phone. Fo free

Why the focus on having a can? Yes it lessens the report but it's still loud in front of with that supersonic crack - not like nobody is going to know what did or didn't happen. If you're dumping the rifle, last thing you want is a can. Homemade, perhaps, but again I don't see where it serves a purpose.

Agreed.

I will say that I differentiate from someone posting foolish talk on LinkedIn from the same foolish talk on a platform that isn’t not work related.

I personally dislike it when Person X talks foolishly on Non-Work Related Platform Y and Internet Commando Z goes out of their way to inform employers.

Everyone keeps saying 200yd but the maps show 200ft. Makes a difference to an amateur.

Also, Trump saying riots followed by shootings is a fact not a threat.
Proud boys stand by isn't violence.
MTG saying people should hang... 100 years ago there would be dozens of Democrats hung for treason. Now, Republicans say let's just move forward. Legally, we could hang them today.
That building is 200 yards, its the automotive building, former business building. I had 90% of my classes there. It is not 200 feet

Older the "print" time the better.
It's been more than adjusted since the first KJV.

Gotta figure out how they spin the gun control angle ahead of time
