Bouvier was not of Eire, but of the Montreal area, if I remember right. Jack was a hound dog who also had a principled side, which bothered those who think of the prez as their puppet. Jack's daddy was of Eire and was in the alcohol biz, which would have had him in Montreal sometimes, most likely. Lots of Canada's wealth is from the booze merchants in the Quebec province, I think.

Interestingly enough, the only person that got in trouble for it was apparently the Israeli government prosecuted one Israeli pilot who refused to attack the ship because he said it was clearly an American ship (or so I've heard).
