Something kicking off in Israel

Yup. Has been out for a few days.
So the high speed low drag army bros outed by Biden team on social media recently were either just pre or post operation? Probably post, and the meeting was to encourage them after the failure their team just experienced?

Dunno. It is an interesting question.

Damn. Was hoping to see some of the kit they're rocking. No dice.

DEVGRU is running Noveske 10.5" Stainless barrel uppers now. W/ Deadair Sandmans.. No 416's + KAC corn cobs any longer..

Where the hell did we figure a 155 shell will take out 100x100 yds.......

Doc
I looked up the blast radius of an M795 HE 155 shell... It gives a blast radius of 50M with frag damage significantly further. Blast radius of 50M means it should causing significant damage in a 100M circle. Since I didn't want to do PixR-squared before caffeine, I just spitballed a 100 x 100 area.

But maybe my source is wrong. And, as I said in the post script... that may be ideal burst on a Kansas prairie, not in the middle of a built-up area. So, hey, drop three shells in! That ought to stir stuff up.

And it's a cheap date!

But by all means, run the real math! As I said, I was spitballing before coffee. So if you guys have some better fire mission ideas, bring them on!

Cheers,

Sirhr

Where is @W54/XM-388. Wasn't he a steel-rain type?

They are on track to spend 40+k iron bombs, droping 1000+ per day for past 20 days , and it looks like 2-4 Jdams per building

Typical ME all reinforced concrete , 40+k 155rds would barely make a dent

Well, that makes some sense.

Then again, have you ever seen "actual" ME reinforced concrete? The %$#@ing hotels in Dubai have concrete so substandard, you can chip chunks out of the stairwells with your fingernails. The contractors all powder the cement, use sub-standard steel, pour it full of fissures and bubbles. It's all shit. And don't even start with the cinderblocks (that are half sand.) Yeah, it looks impressive. But it's not.

Look at what just happened in Turkey a few weeks ago. All that "ME Reinforced concrete" was little better than a kids sand castle.

But, again, I don't claim my math was right.

But my strategery wasn't bad, was it? ;-)

Cheers,

Sirhr

Your analysis of most of the concrete is spot on. Although some buildings do get built well, the rest are suspect. That is throughout the ME, Africa and Asia. I have seen it myself - that stuff can crumble with amazing speed to damn near dust. Earthquakes really show the limits of what they have built.

A surprisingly honest take on the whole thing by Darryl Cooper

Some fun gaza math... Based on some of the Iron Dome posts above.

Each 155mm shell will take out 10,000 square yards or .003 square miles. Blast area of roughly 100 x 100 yards.

140 square miles (10 miles by 14... ) 25,640 yards. x 17,600 yards

Unless my math is off, it would take just 43,000 155mm artillery shells to turn Gaza into a rubble pile. One shell every 200 yards x 200 yards in a grid.

Could one of our artillery experts run up a fire mission plan? Rolling barrage from East to West... Because I think the solution is pretty simple. Wear out a few tubes... Spend a few days firing. Problem solved.

FYI, Ukraine is firing 7,000 to 8,000 shells a day across a wide front at dispersed targets. Each shell costs about $4500 (these are cheap HE rounds, not guided or bleed base or spendy shells. Just dumb shells.) By that math, 5 days of properly-planned shelling and Gaza is a parking lot.

Total cost for shells is about $200 million. That's not including tubes and ancillaries like transport, soldier salaries, 3M ear plugs and subsequent lawsuits... you get the ideal. $200 million is nothing. Noone gets invaded. The A-Rabs can't complain about an incursion. And if the shell pattern runs in a diagonal that drives everyone out the bottom into Egypt... well, if the gate don't open, it's gonna be stir fry. Whatever. Open the gate, Egypt.

Someone please check my math and my fire mission plan. I haven't have coffee yet. I know we have some artillery guys and some actuaries among us. Run the math right for me!

Sirhr

PS. If my effects planning is falling a bit short... you know with the shells being contained by buildings, rubble bouncing, etc. Feel free to double the fire concentration. $400 million is still a really cheap end to all this. Even $600 Million. Heck, I could see Elon Musk funding this just to get a good laugh! I mean, it's cheaper than Twitter and sends a much stronger message. See what I did there?

Id suggest using 767 planes. It would be cheaper! I once saw two (2) 767s take down two (2) 110 story buildings, plus an adjacent 52 story building. Based on this, Id think maybe fifty (50) well placed 767s could destroy all of Gaza???

Wow... just wow.

Not saying you are wrong.

But wow.

Now can we point out that the 'pilots' were Palestinian supporters and highly-committed acolytes of the "Religion of Peace?"

Just sayin.

I would have thought you were a total Hamas supporter. Lots of your people are...
Heheh 🤪 , nope ,folks just need to acknowledge the reality on the ground that is far more nuanced that folks imagine.

Besides, you know me i have the utmost respect for the Jew pimp game that is second only to their arms traficking game , 'talent' Hamas has on offer is not even entry-level.

Problem #1 are tunnels. Can't nerve gas/cement until hostages accounted for, unless just willing to call them martyrs and proceed.
#2. It will never be just Hamas in its current form. Iran, (and to lesser extent Quatar etc.) will resupply 'munitions and bodies as long as they can afford it, which thanks to Pedopeter, will be indefinitely.
#3. Israel MUST address Iran's nuclear abilities on its own, since no one else (i.e. UN, Pedopeter) will say no to Iran.
Say what you want about Israel's motives, we are not far off from fulfilled prophecy. I predict Damascus will be glassed.

Damn. Ok I’m out then. I hadn’t seen any of that on the few episodes I watched.
It’s for shock factor.

I don’t think you’re suppose to like it. You’re suppose to WTF it.
It’s like there’s unnecessary amount of killing and gore.

Honestly the 1st season introduced all the characters and the why everything happens. I had to watch it like 3 times because I would never pay attention my first 3 attempts; it was a little slow for me.
It really doesn’t pick up till the second season imo

Its Hollywood. They have to add a couple gay scenes because Hollywood. And the Queen Cersei and her brother are in a incestual r'ship.
Otherwise a great fckn show though! I wouldn't let those 2 dumb parts turn you off it. Its not like some type gay incest porn or something.. theres maybe 3-4 shows out of the 80+ episodes that have that BS, very easily skipped through. Royalty in medieval times was into some degenerate shit at times anyhow...
For sure a fantastic show though, 95% of the time at least. So much better in every way than almost everything else on nowadays.. at least IMO.

There was 1 king in real life, can't remember who.. that literally showered like never and would piss/shit on the floor in his palace that the servants would have to clean up. Can't imagine the smell.

Probably some field kitchen staff. But who knows maybe few of them end up hosting some firearms classes at your local strip mall ,after seein IDF folks cashing in.

*honestly thought with the Marines even the rear echelon could use their guns but it doesn't look like it , here half have trouble deciding which way to turn the mag

The rest of the Muslim world. The videos they produce and send out are critical to keeping emotions high so that they receive support.

However, I do wonder how many governments are showing support just so that they don’t have an uprising in their own country. Egypt and Jordan come to mind here.

They make a recording and hand it to the Muslim news outlet of their choice. Then send copies to their mass media influencers.

I doubt this has much impact.

It will slow communication with civilians in the area though.

I dunno man, those videos of Palestinians being blown up seem to be referenced by a lot of pro-Muslim orgs, Arabic newspapers and governments. I don’t think it is a PR move that is ineffective, quite the contrary. But you are correct about shitting down comms to slow down hamas.
